Elastomeric Roof Coating Brown Français
SEALFLEX elastomeric roof coating CR-4313 is a 100% acrylic water-based emulsion specially formulated to cover and caravan and recreative vehicles roofs but also steel, wood, concrete, shingles and composite roofs. This waterproofing membrane reflects sun rays, U.V resistant and long-lasting. It resists to mildew, discoloration, cracking, peeling-off and chalking.
Surface Preparation
It is very important to clean all surfaces with a universal degreaser, to brush and rinse with plenty of water. Surfaces must be sound, clean and free from rust, loose paint, dust, dirt, grease and mildew. Clean with high pressure water. Scarify glossy areas. Holes and cracks can be repaired with Sealflex colored plastic cement. Allow repairs to dry for 24 hours prior to apply SEALFLEX.
Do not begin outside work if temperature is unsure for the next 48 hours. Test on a small area to determine suitability of material. Being water-based, avoid application under full sun. Do not apply over bituminous roofs. Do not dilute. Stir well before use. Temperature and relative humidity are critical factors for an adequate drying. For application and curing of Sealflex we need to have a temperature more than 10ºC and a relative humidity less than 85%. Therefore ideal conditions are 25°C and 50% of relative humidity. Protect surface against rain until completely dry. Make sure roofs have slope to shed water. We recommend 2 to 3 coats to achieve a dry 0.76 mm (30mil or 1/32’’) thickness. Use a paintbrush, roller or industrial sprayer. When using paintbrush or roller, spread the coat going always in the same direction. Apply the second coat at right angle of the first one. Let coat dry between successive applications.
